The AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Course is designed for healthcare professionals who are interested in teaching the AHA’s BLS courses. This comprehensive program equips instructor candidates with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively train others in high-quality CPR, AED use, and basic life-saving techniques for adult, child, and infant patients.

During the course, participants will learn:

• The science behind the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
• Effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
• How to conduct AHA BLS courses using the latest educational tools and resources.

Course Prerequisites:

• Current AHA BLS Provider certification.
• Completion of the BLS Instructor Essentials online module.
• Alignment with an authorized AHA Training Center (Shell CPR, LLC).
